The output of images during Cannes Film Festival is mostly about the red carpet and those who cross it: celebrities in sparkling evening gowns, a feast of luxury labels for fashion addicts. Italian photographer Jonatha Borzicchi gives a different perspective on the Festival with a focus on the thousands of people who light up “La Croisette” during the Festival hectic days: photographers, bodyguards, starlets, escorts, all sort of attention-seeking people who contribute in creating a “circus that every year opens its doors to the world for two unforgettable weeks”. Borzicchi captures the soul of this “immense circus” with humor and critical eye, showing with his images the true atmosphere you are surrounded by at La Croisette during those days.
