From the archives: The Future envisioned by Charles Schridde for Motorola in 1961

In 1961 Motorola asked commercial illustrator Charles Schridde to envision the homes of the future centered around Motorola’s most recent line of electronics. The ads created by Schridde ran in Life Magazine and The Saturday Evening Post from 1961 to 1963 and depicted an optimistic future, made of lavish, elegant, dream-homes, where technologies and the lush natural surrounding coexisted harmoniously. Looking at those illustrations today allows us to imagine the infinite possibilities of the future. Or the future that never was.charles_schridde6 charles-schridde-5 charles_schridde3 charles_schridde1 charles_schridde4 charles_schriddeVia Wine and Bowties
