Leading actors: Artist Maurizio Cattelan and photographer Pierpaolo Ferrari are the founders of Toilet Paper Magazine, an independent, avant-garde magazine that depicts the world of commerce, arts, design and fashion through provocative and humorous images.
Massimo Giorgetti is the creative director and founder of MSGM , a young fashion label born in 2009, which features a contemporary, bold, trendy style that combines great tradition with revolutionary ideas from the new millennium. MSGM was celebrated as one of the best designers of the 2010 edition of “Who’s on next”, sponsored by Vogue Italia.
Plot: Toilet Paper magazine launched its first partnership with fashion label MSGM during Milan Men’s Fashion Week. The capsule collection of unisex sweatshirts features Toilet Paper’s audacious imagery and MSGM’s simple lines.The eclectic style of Massimo Giorgetti’s brand and his passion for prints and colors perfectly match the provocative , sometimes surreal, style and sense of humor of Toilet Paper’s founders. ‘The images in ToiletPaper have always captured my attention, inspiring and entertaining me.’ Says Giorgetti. While after only 3 years since its launch, Toilet Paper feels the need to expand its influence beyond the page ‘We are interested in trying out our images in different mediums,’ says Pierpaolo Ferrari. ‘We discovered that a toad in a sandwich works just as well on a sweatshirt.’
The collection will be available next month on several fashion sites, among them LuisaViaRoma, The Corner and Lane Crawford
